Northfield Metro Express a daily route service from Northfield to the Twin Cities, three times daily, 365 days a year. This local Tickets are purchased online only.

The vehicle has wireless internet, fold down tray tables for laptops and a bike rack mounted on the bus for those whose stops may be located farther than walking distance.

Jefferson Bus Lines has stops at the Big Steer Travel Center (7 miles from campus) six times daily, traveling north to Minneapolis and st. Paul and south to Des Moines and Kansas City.       

Northfield Transit "Dial-A-Ride" Public Transportation in the city of Northfield; standard business hours. Free tokens available for students at Buntrock Front Desk.

Also provides transportation to the Jefferson Lines Bus Depot located at The Steer Travel Center (Highway 19 and 35W intersection), Monday through Friday. The transit bus will meet one northbound and on southbound Jefferson Lines bus daily. 24 hour advance reservations are required and can be made by calling (507) 645-7250. Cost is $4 one-way. MegaBus For inexpensive bus transportation from Chicago to: Minneapolis/St. Paul, Milwaukee, Madison,Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and St. Louis.

Likely an economical way to get to the single Bus Stop ( North 3rd Ave by 4th St Parking) is a shared cab. Even more economical, if schedule permits, try to take a Metro Express Shuttle to the airport and hop a cab from there. (same for a return trip)

Call the Northfield Enterprise rent-a-car location directly to make arrangements to rent vehicles for personal use (must be at least 21 years of age).  The Northfield Enterprise location is located at the corner of Highway 3 and Second Street, at the rear of the Farmer's Insurance building.
