Community Life and Diversity

The Office of Community Life and Diversity serves as a catalyst for bringing the St. Olaf mission to life. As we work, learn and grow together, we strive to embrace and celebrate our differences while sharing common values, goals and aspirations.

As a community, we strive to learn about and understand our differences in an effort to create a welcoming and accepting environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors. The Office of Community Life and Diversity facilitates this ongoing process of education and discernment through respectful dialogue, diversity activities, and hands-on workshops and seminars designed to heighten awareness, provide context and generate understanding of community issues.

Ultimately, the vision is to cultivate an atmosphere where embracing our differences is the norm. . .where recognizing diverse and divergent perspectives is the expected. . .where the responsibility for welcoming all peoples and hearing all perspectives is accepted by everyone. When that day arrives we will celebrate and rejoice!

The Office of Community Life and Diversity is located in Buntrock Commons 147/148. For more information call ext. 3334.
