The Lion's Pause is a non-profit, student-run business at St. Olaf College. The Mane Stage area and the Pause Kitchen help create the unique diversity of night club/lounge/snack bar. The Pause provides students with leadership, management and small-group skills and experience. Students may earn work study by working in the Pause Kitchen.

Pause events cover a range of performers, from professionals to campus bands, including Spring and Fall Concerts. The Pause encourages campus band development by offering the stage area and equipment for practice.

The Pause Kitchen is open daily during the academic year and offers a variety of affordable snacks, including the famous Pause pizza, delivered right to your residence hall! The Pause also serves as a social/TV lounge. The large-screen TV provides cable television all day. The Pause also houses several video games and pool tables.

The Lion's Pause is located on the lower level of the Buntrock Commons.
