Tostrud Athletic Center

Boasting an aerobics training facility, cutting-edge exercise machines, a weight-training facility, an elevated walking and jogging ring, a six-lane, 200-meter track, five tennis courts and a 48-foot-high rock-climbing wall, the 95,000-square-foot Tostrud Center is a state-of-the-art recreation and fitness center designed to promote lifelong health, recreation and fitness. "Healthy living, wellness and recreation are crucial to freeing young men and women to become whole," said President Christopher M. Thomforde at the facility's dedication in September 2002. "Through this new center we will provide our students - as well as the entire St. Olaf community - with an important resource in which to learn and grow."
