Library Position Details

Peer Research Tutors answer research questions in Rolvaag Library, the Music Library, and online, offer research consultations to students in person and virtually, create and edit online research guides, and work on other projects as assigned. Peer Research Tutors help students develop research strategies and find, evaluate, and cite sources. We are looking for students who are familiar with library resources; have used the libraries to conduct their own research; have great interpersonal skills; and who would enjoy assisting a wide range of library users, including students, faculty, staff, and community members. Successful applicants will be dependable, well-organized, and inquisitive. Ideally we are looking for someone who can make at least a two year commitment. If hired, you must be available to attend training during the week prior to the start of the Fall semester.
Times Available: M-Th 11 am-3 pm, 7-10 pm; F 11am-3pm; Sunday 2-5pm,7-10 pm

Library Employment Agreement

If employed, I agree to regularly work my designated schedule. I understand that work through to the end of the semester is required and that my schedule will be adjusted to accommodate my exam schedule. I agree to find my own replacement for shifts that I cannot work, or obtain supervisor approval at least one week in advance of an absence (except in case of an illness or other unforeseeable event).
