Patchworks

Directed by Mary Maker

Director's Statement: This devised piece integrates the different human emotions, how they interact, relate and differentiate across bodies of color. The piece takes us through four worlds: Love, pain, refuge/finding identity and the world of blood bound bodies. Each actor brings to the table a piece of themselves in the dimensions of selves, and together the worlds are formed. With each actor writing their pieces, the patches are formed, integrating old works and new formed works.
