2014-15 USITT-NBS Scholarships
& Emerging Professional Grant
for support to the National Conference

First, a great big ‘thank you’ to USITT, all of our NBS members, SECOA, Norcostco/Stage Technology for making these awards possible.  Without the membership and corporate sponsorship we would not be able to offer the number of scholarships that we do and in an amount to truly help offset the expenditures of travelling to the annual conference.  We are also excited to award the first ever NBS Emerging Professional Grant to help support an NBS member that has graduated and pursuing a professional career in technical theater.
Secondly I would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to our scholarship and emerging professional grant reading committee – Wendy Waszut-Barrett, Corey Shelsta, Jerry Kraft, Ricky Greenwell, and Todd Edwards – for taking the time to review all of the scholarship and grant applications and accomplishing the difficult task of ranking the applicants.
Thirdly I would like to say ‘thank you’ to all of the USITT-NBS Scholarship and Emerging Professional Grant applicants.  The opportunity to attend the annual conference is a wonderful one and we certainly wish that we could offer more money and more scholarships and grants to help cover the expenses involved.  We would also like to note that we would love to see a lot more applications.
Lastly I would like to say ‘thank you’ to all of the faculty, staff, or peers that encouraged eligible NBS members to  apply for the scholarships and grant.  Thank you for recognizing the value of attending the annual conference and encouraging our students and emerging professionals to help them get there.
