2015-16 USITT-NBS Student Scholarships Awarded
Once again it was exciting to see so many students apply for scholarships to help cover the costs of attending the USITT Conference. Before announcing the winners, there are a few folks to say thank you to for helping make the scholarships happen.
Thank you to USITT, all of our NBS members, SECOA, and Norcostco/Stage Technology for making these scholarships possible. Without the membership and corporate sponsorship we would not be able to offer the number of scholarships that we do and in an amount to truly help offset the expenditures of travelling to the annual conference.
Thank you to our scholarship reading committee – Michael Burgoyne, Tiffany Fier, Ricky Greenwell, Jerry Kraft, and Corey Shelsta – for taking the time to review all of the scholarship applications and accomplishing the difficult task of ranking the applicants.
Thank you to all of the students that applied for USITT-NBS Scholarships. The opportunity to attend the annual conference is a wonderful one and we certainly wish that we could offer more money and more scholarships to help cover the expenses involved, especially in a year when the annual conference is so far away.
Thank you to all of the faculty/staff that encouraged their students to apply for the scholarships. Thank you for recognizing the value in student attendance of the annual conference and offering guidance to your students to help them get there.
