Todd M. Reemtsma Joins Gopher Stage Lighting

Todd M. Reemtsma joins Gopher Stage Lighting, Inc. in the newly created role of General Manager. Todd will be working with owners Melanie and Joe Holloway, and the rest of the GSL staff, to establish, improve, and maintain its reputation as a lighting and rigging resource for architectural, entertainment, and theatrical equipment. Todd will look to build upon the company wide commitment to provide customers with reliable equipment and excellent service.      Prior to joining Gopher Stage Lighting, Inc., Todd led the Controls Group at JTH Lighting Alliance, a manufacturer’s representative of lighting and lighting controls, for 12 years.  Prior to that, Todd worked for Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC), a manufacturer of lighting and lighting controls, for 11 years, most of that time as the Architectural Regional Manager for the East Coast working in the New York Office. Todd has been a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) since 1999, serves on the IES Control Protocols committee, and is a Board Member and Past President of the Minneapolis/Saint Paul Section. Todd is Lighting Certified by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP), a member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) and a past Chair of the Northern Boundary Section of USITT. Todd received his MFA in Theatre Lighting Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a BA in Theatre from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
     Todd lives in St. Paul with his wife, Jennie Ward, sons, Max and Theo, and wheaton terriers, Pippi and Mr. Nilsson. Todd is active in scouting with his sons as a Den Leader and Assistant Scoutmaster, enjoys running the fantastic trails around Minnesota, and still occasionally designs lighting for local theatre productions.
     Gopher Stage Lighting provides lighting and rigging systems for architectural and entertainment installations.
