lanceC. Lance Brockman's research interest is in the aesthetics of late19th and early 20th century theatre scenic art. Brockman's interest led to the discovery of the Twin City  Collection that contains sketches used for painting scenery for opera houses, vaudeville, circuses and department store displays. Lance has continued research and collecting extant examples of historic scenery though the years and much of it is in the Performing Arts Archive at the University of Minnesota. This exhibit will feature pieces from the collection.
