Lighting/ Sound Design Faculty Position- UMD Theater

UMD Theater is hiring a full-time Lighting/Sound Design faculty member.

Responsibilities include:

Teaching: Deliver undergraduate foundation courses in lighting design and sound, provide supervision and mentorship for lighting and sound design and production students.

Design: Research and create realized lighting designs and sound for select productions in the UMD Theatre season.

Service: Provide departmental service and other requisite duties of a term position.

Details located HERE

The new hire will be joining eight other UMD faculty and staff in Design and Production, so applicants should be aware the position is well supported by professional colleagues.

(P.S.  Just for clarity, I'm not going anywhere, at least not anytime soon.  I've moved into full-time administration so the new Lighting/Sound Design faculty will be teaching all lighting design and sound design courses and supervising the lighting and sound production areas.
