Reid, a 2003 Northfield High School graduate, is a sophomore majoring in biology with a pre-med concentration. "I was drawn to St. Olaf College for three reasons -- its academic reputation, the international studies program, and the beautiful campus," said Reid. "I am grateful to attend a college known for its nationally ranked science program."
Reid was one of eight queen candidates who successfully answered a spontaneous as well as a prepared question during the coronation program. Upon being crowned queen Reid said, "This is exciting for me and will be great for St. Olaf College and the town of Northfield."
During the school year, Reid is a student-worker in the President's Office. Reid was escorted to the coronation by St. Olaf President Christopher Thomforde. "It was a fun evening -- especially having President Thomforde as my escort," she said.
Reid is the daughter of Northfield residents Jon and Guy Reid.
