On Friday, February 13th the St. Olaf men's tennis team was defeated by Saint John's at Owatonna Tennis and Fitness Center by the score of 8-1. Although the end score seemed lopsided the Oles were actually competitive in the individual matches. The match opened up with doubles and the Oles lost all three, but by scores of 8-6, 8-6, and 8-5. The singles followed with close matches in every position except the number four slot. However, the Oles were able to come out on top of the score by winning one of those five matches. The lone winner was captain Dan Cohen (St. Paul, Minn) who remains undefeated in singles play at number three singles. The Oles next match is up in Moorhead, Minnesota to play the Concordia Cobbers. The match will be played in the Concordia fieldhouse at 9:00am on Saturday, February 21st. The Oles are now 1-1.s
