"Hope, Not Hate" reception honors artist Apo Torosyan

An opening reception for artist Apo Torosyan, whose exhibit "Hope, Not Hate" occupies Flaten Art Museum gallery, will be held from 5-7 p.m. in Dittmann Center. Torosyan will also give a presentation in Dittmann Center 305 at 4 p.m. An Armenian, Toyosen, works with bread as his medium to discuss issues of ethnic persecution, genocide and immigration. His work speaks that "To eliminate hunger, we must all work for justice." His "Immigration Installation" seeks to re-create the experience of an immigrant wandering in an unfamiliar land.
