Nordic skiing finishes second at MIAC Championships

The St. Olaf men's and women's nordic skiing teams competed this weekend in MIAC Championships at Graystone trails in St. Cloud, Minn. The men's team finished in second place in the classic and freestyle events and the women's team finished first in the classic race and second place in the freestyle event.
Ollie Garrison (So., Boxborough, Mass.) finished in second place with a time of :39.40 in the Classic race. Nate Erlandson (So., Grand Rapids, Minn.) finished fifth in the freestyle race in a time of 27:55.5 just ahead of Garrison who finished sixth with a time of 27:56.1.
On the women's side, Mary Krusen (So., Kenai, Alaska) finished first in the women's classic in a time of :39.01.6, just ahead of teammate Mia Gaw (FY, Carbondale, Colo.) who finished second at :39.02.4. Linn Dale (FY, Bloomington, Minn.) led the Ole women in the 5K freestyle race finishing third with a time of 15:16.8.
Next up for the Nordic teams is the CCSA Regionals in Houghton, Michigan.
