Women's tennis defeats Concordia 9-0

The St. Olaf women's tennis team defeated Concordia College 9-0 in Moorhead, Minnesota on February 21st, 2004.
The Oles started strong in the match by decisively winning all of the doubles matches. The singles matches were closer in score, but the Oles managed to win each of the singles matches. All nine of the members of the St. Olaf women's tennis team contributed in the win.
The doubles team winners were Beth Erie (Jr., Rochester, Minn.) and Kristen Buchta (Jr., Neenah, Wis.); Misaki Kodama (FY, Japan) and Emily Eggert (So., Appleton, Wis.); Libby Douglas (Jr., Hutchinson, Minn.) and Jamie Brau (Sr., Arlington, Minn.). The six St. Olaf women who won their singles matches included Sarah Pray (FY, Madison, Wis.), Jorie Steffen (FY, Lake Geneva, Wis), Lauren Benson (Jr., Appleton, Wis.), Erie, Buchta, and Brau.
The tennis team improved it's record to 2-1 in the M.I.A.C. conference and 3-1 overall. The Oles next match is with crosstown rival, Carleton College on Saturday, February 28th at the Owatonna Tennis and Fitness Center..
