Question: This St. Olaf student will appear on JEOPARDY! Answer: Who is Ellen Auer?

St. Olaf senior Ellen Auer (Woodland Hills, Calif.) participated in this year?s College Tournament of the popular TV gameshow JEOPARDY!. Auer is one of 15 students from across the country who were chosen after passing a written exam.

"It's always exciting watching today's young people play JEOPARDY!," said host Alex Trebek. "Not only do the college students aim for individual honors, but they really compete for their schools as well. The JEOPARDY! College Championship is always rich in spirit and school pride."

Auer's segments, which taped in early October at Yale University, will be seen in the Twin Cities Nov. 13 on KARE11 at 4:30 p.m. (check local NBC listings for other areas). The tournament champion is guaranteed a minimum $50,000 cash prize, a specially designed trophy and a new car.
