Nordic Series features leading Scandinavian pianist

Pianist Havard Gimse, one of Scandinavia?s most renowned artists, will perform work by Geirr Tveitt, Jean Sibelius, Edvard Grieg and Sergi Prokofiev at 4:30 p.m. in Christiansen Hall of Music, Urness Recital Hall. Gimse, an assistant program manager of the Oslo Chamber Music Festival, has performed throughout the world, including engagements in Amsterdam, Prague and Berlin. He has also received the prestigious Grieg Prize (1996), first prize in the Jugend Musiziert Competition (1987) and the Steinway Prize (1995). The concert is free and open to the public.
