Biblical scholar Peter Nash explores "What?s scientific about racial categories? Or, how an African American became a white man in the third world" in this evening?s lecture at 7 p.m. in Rolvaag Memorial Library, room 515. Nash has recently returned to the United States after several years of teaching in Brazil and travel in Europe and Africa. His current research investigates late 19th-century notions of race and the influence of those on the development of critical biblical scholarship
