First-year student urges Hmong American women to pursue 'true freedom'

Many Hmong women in Thailand and Laos turn to prostitution for lack of other ways to support themselves. Even in the United States, young Hmong American women often marry young due to cultural expectations. "With opportunities in America so plentiful," writes first-year St. Olaf College student Lily Moua, "we must take advantage of our options and fulfill our dreams."
