Minnesota Youth Symphony Orchestra premieres 9/11 reflection by St. Olaf student

Feelings of heartbreak and helplessness were common in the United States on Sept. 11, 2001. For Carl Schroeder, however, then a first-year student at St. Olaf College, the tragedy of 9/11 spawned a "searingly beautiful" orchestral elegy called "Christine's Lullaby," in honor of the youngest person killed in America that day. Star Tribune writer Gwendolyn Freed recently profiled Schroeder's remarkable response.
