Philharmonia Orchestra fall concert features trumpet solo

The St. Olaf Philharmonia Orchestra will give its annual fall concert at 4:30 p.m. in Boe Memorial Chapel. The 90-member Philharmonia Orchestra, under the direction of St. Olaf Professor of Music Jo Ann Polley, features a variety of music, including Borodin?s "Overture for Prince Igor" and "Polovtsian Dances" along with Hummel?s "Concerto for Trumpet" with St. Olaf Assistant Professor of Music Martin Hodel performing on the trumpet.
