Womens Tennis Competes at Fall Tournament

Five players from the St. Olaf women?s tennis team competed on Friday, September 28 and Saturday, September 29 in two tournaments, the Midwest Regional and the Fall Invitational both held concurrently at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Coach Nesbit described the tournaments as "the best level of competition I?ve seen yet". "What a great experience for our women to play against such skilled players."

Beth Erie (FY., Rochester, Minn.) and Lindsay Johnson (Fy., Verona, Wis.) participated in the regional tournament facing very stiff competition but gaining valuable experience, which will spur them on in future contests.

Jamie Brau (So., Arlington, Minn.) played singles in the Fall Invite and also played against the best competition thus far this fall season. Seniors Abigail Betts (Bethesda, Md.) and Lindsay Gorham (Wenatchee, Wash.) played doubles and reached the quarterfinals of the tournament.
