Racing in style, the St. Olaf Women?s Cross-Country team competed at the Eau Claire Invitational this past weekend. Reuniting as a team, the Oles reminded the competition that they are a national merit team. Lead by junior co-captain, Megan Daymont (Northfield, Minn.) set the pace by winning her first collegiate meet with a time of 18:03. Daymont?s victorious pace helped lead the Ole women to finish fourth overall in a field of eighteen teams. Teammate Brigid Franey (Sr, Lexington, KY) and Marit Grorud (So, Fremont, Nebr.) followed Daymont to help bring in the Oles. Completing the top seven for St. Olaf included Britt Carlson (So, Stillwater, Minn.), Kjersten Johnson (So, Stevens Point, Wis.), Kate Boeding (Sr, Potsville, Ia), and Maren Flynn (Sr, Arcadia, Wis.). This top pack of runners helped to bring in the rest of the Ole women and show that they are the team to watch entering the conference meet. Working together as competitive pack runners, the rest of the Ole women found themselves each dropping time to carry themselves into the final stretch of the season.

The St. Olaf women will have this weekend off before competing again at 4:30 pm, Friday, October 20th, at the University of Minnesota 4K Invitational.
