A clever and intriguing play, Six Characters in Search of an Author explores the delicate balance of illusion and reality in a stage setting. The play begins as a company of actors has gathered to rehearse a play. As the rehearsal gets underway, a family of six characters, who have been abandoned by their author, invade the theater and demand that the director and his company stage their life story. As the director and his company listen to the family?s story to decide whether or not a play can be fashioned out of it, astonishing and unpredictable events emerge as illusion and reality are blurred.
