The Carleton Knights struck first, but the Oles bounced back in the third inning, scoring three runs. Meredith Larsen (So., Mason City, Iowa) advanced to first on a single and Andrea Hatleli (Sr., Austin, Minn.) reached first on catcher?s interference. Christy Boraas (Sr., Madison, Minn.) tripled to left center to drive in two runs and then scored on a Carrie Cooley (Jr., Villard, Minn.) single to right field.

The Knight?s gathered two more runs in the bottom of the third, one in the bottom of the fourth to take a 4-3 lead. The Oles started a fifth inning rally when Boraas reached base on an error and advanced to second on a Cooley sacrifice bunt. Kelly Frederick (So., Woodland, Minn.) doubled to center, scoring Boraas, and Christina Moses (Sr., New Brighton, Minn.) followed with a double, scoring Frederick. Molly Robinson (So., Northfield, Minn.) then tripled to center, scoring two more and bringing the Ole lead to 7-4. The Knights would pick up one more run in their half of the inning and the Ole lead was 7-5.

St. Olaf countered again in the sixth on a lead-off single by Sarah Cherry (Sr., Faribault, Minn.). Boraas reached on an error and Frederick followed with a single to left, picking up an RBI and increasing the lead to 8-5. Boraas and Sarah Hereby (FY, Richfield, Minn.) both scored on errors and Frederick scored on a Kirsten Haaland (So., Billings, Mt.) single, taking an 11-5 lead. The Knights went on to score six runs on six hits and three errors and the game was knotted up at 11 going into the seventh.

Larsen singled to start the inning and advanced to second on an error. Lindsay Bonine (FY, St. Paul, Minn.) reached on an error and Cooley singled up the middle advancing the runners. Kelly Frederick stepped up to the plate and singled in what would become the winning run at 12-11. The Oles went on to retire the side and pick up the win.

In the nightcap, the Knights maintained an early 10-0 lead after three innings. The Oles could muster only three hits and only four runners reached base. Carrie Cooley doubled to left center in the first inning and was 1-2 in the game. Rachel Colson (So., Oak Park, Ca.) singled up the middle in the second inning and Sarah Cherry singled down the left field line in the third.

The Oles end their season 11-19-1 overall and 7-14-1 in the MIAC.
