World-renowned ecologist to lecture at St. Olaf

World-renowned limnologist and ecologist Steve Carpenter, a member of the National Academy of Sciences and director of the Center for Limnology in Madison, Wis. -- and one of the most cited ecologists in the field -- will visit St. Olaf Nov. 16-18. In addition to meeeting with students and faculty, Carpenter will present a public lecture, "Early Warnings of Big Changes in Ecosystems," and a more informal public talk, "Transformation of Global Ecosystem Services."
