St. Olaf ranks first in study abroad survey

St. Olaf had the largest number of students participating in study abroad opportunities during the 2007-08 academic year among all baccalaureate institutions in the nation, according to the Open Doors 2009 Report on International Educational Exchange.
The Open Doors report also ranks St. Olaf among the Top 10 baccalaureate institutions nationwide in the percentage of students studying abroad.
Open Doors is the comprehensive information resource on international students in the United States and on the more than 200,000 U.S. students who study abroad as part of their academic experience. The Institute of International Education publishes the Open Doors report annually with funding from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
