Student singers perform well in state audition

St. Olaf student singers performed well at the National Association of Teachers of Singing-Minnesota Chapter annual student voice auditions held at St. John's University Nov. 7-8. More than 270 singers from around the state participated in the two-day event. Twenty-four St. Olaf singers and three St. Olaf student pianists participated. Twelve singers advanced from the preliminary round to the semi-finals and six singers sang in the final round. The finalists were:
- Heather Eikenbary '12: 4th place (Div. 3A, 18-year-old college women)
- Francesca Cavilia '10: 2nd place (Div. 5A, 20-year-old college women)
- Emily Way '09: 3rd place (Div. 5B, 21-year-old college women)
- Tali Daney '09: 2nd place (Div. 5B, 21-year-old college women)
- Holly Flack '09: 1st place (Div. 5B, 21-year-old college women)
- John Andert '10: 1st place (Div. 6, 21-22-year-old college men)
