St. Olaf Professor of English Richard DuRocher will host the Milton Marathon Saturday in honor of the 400th anniversary of John Milton's birth in 1608. The event, which begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, in the Crossroads of Buntrock Commons, will feature an oral reading of Milton's epic, Paradise Lost. The reading is free and open to the public. Attendees, who can come and go as they please, are invited to listen or even read a few lines aloud (instructions for reading Milton's verse will be available).

The reading will move to Rolvaag Library 515 at 1:30 p.m., where it will continue until approximately 10 p.m.

A commemorative t-shirt will be available for sale on site Saturday, and both before and after the marathon in the English Department office in Rolvaag.
