The senior shows are part of a capstone course for studio art majors. The course consists of advanced studio work, a visiting artist series, weekly critiques, and discussions with faculty and peers. Each student's independent work with a faculty adviser culminates in the senior exhibition at Flaten Art Museum. Seniors are responsible for developing a concept, creating a body of work and preparing it for installation. Senior artists will present works ranging from performance to paintings, prints, photography and sculpture.

"It has been incredible to work alongside such a talented group of senior art majors and to see the development of such innovative projects," says studio art major Nan Onkka '08. "Not only is the artwork itself impressive, but the underlying social, environmental and political messages showcase the intention and intellect behind the work."
