St. Olaf Magazine earns MMPA Excellence Awards

St. Olaf Magazine, edited by Carole Leigh Engblom and designed by Don Bratland '87, took home six recognitions in the annual Minnesota Magazine & Publications Association (MMPA) Excellence Awards competition held Nov. 1 in Minneapolis. The Excellence Awards were established 11 years ago to recognize and foster outstanding publishing achievement.
St. Olaf Magazine, which falls into the "Association/over 30,000 circulation" classification, entered in six categories -- and won in each:
Gold: Overall Excellence (September 2006, January 2007, May 2007)
Gold: Best Overall Design (September 2006, January 2007, May 2007)
Gold: Best Feature Article ("Natural Connections," Spring 2006)
Gold: Best Use of Visuals/Photography ("Innocence Abroad," Spring 2007)
Gold: Best Special Supplement ("Alumni World," Spring 2007)
Bronze: Best Single Cover (Spring 2007)
