Times asks O'Leary about consulate closure

Norway's decision to close its career consulate in Minneapolis next year has Professor Margaret Hayford O'Leary, chair of the Norwegian Department at St. Olaf College, wondering whether the Midwest will soon become "flyover land," even for Norwegians.

"This hurts our feelings a little bit," O'Leary tells the New York Times about Norway's move to close its consulate in Minnesota, which has far more residents of Norwegian descent than any other state.
