Matthew Johnson '85 appointed Minnesota Court of Appeals judge

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty has appointed three new judges to the Minnesota Court of Appeals, including attorney Matthew Johnson '85 of St. Paul. The appointments increase the appeals court to a total of 19 judges.

The governor praised Johnson, 44, as having a strong intellect and legal abilities and a passion for law and justice. An attorney and shareholder with Halleland, Lewis, Nilan and Johnson in Minneapolis, Johnson spoke of being appointed to a ?dream job.?
