Leming documents public sociology
August 10, 2007
A column by St. Olaf Professor of Sociology Michael Leming is featured in the July/August 2007 e-newsletter of the American Sociological Association. His article is part of an ongoing series that highlights how sociologists can engage in service to organizations and communities. Leming wrote about the numerous ways he has served the Northfield community and the world, including co-authoring a book (Understanding, Dying, Death and Bereavement), conducting research in Thailand, producing a documentary on the Karen people of Thailand and even playing Santa Clause to Northfield-area families.
