Chinese Christian artist to give presentation

Artist He Qi will present "Look Toward the Heavens" at 1 p.m. in Viking Theater, Buntrock Commons. He Qi was among the first pepople in mainland China to earn a Ph.D. in religious art after the Cultural Revolution. Through his art he hopes to help change the "foreign image" of Christianity in China by using artistic language and, at the same time, to supplement Chinese art the way Buddhist art did in ancient times.
