Scott Rogers '79 will be featured as this year's alumni guest conductor. He will conduct Johan Halvorsen's stirring march, Entry of the Boyars. Rogers currently works as a music producer for the Norwegian Concert Institute (Rikskonsertene), primarily in the province of Buskerud. His school concerts reach 64,000 students per year, with 18 touring productions playing over 450 performances. In addition to guest conducting, Rogers also is active as a composer, arranger and lecturer.
The Homecoming concert will feature performances of Paul Creston's Celebration Overture, Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus, Dmitri Shostakovich's Polka from The Bolt, Roger Cichy's new Bugs and James Barnes' Fantasy Variations on a Theme of Niccolo Paganini.
