Tetlie and his exhibit featured in article
September 20, 2006
"A Collector's Legacy: Richard N. Tetlie," an exhibit of work from the estate of Richard Tetlie '43 currently on display in Dittmann Center, is attracting attention in the Twin Cities. The Star Tribune recently published an article about the collection and Tetlie's passion for art.
Jill Ewald, curator of the museum, describes the demanding task of organizing and maintaining the extensive collection that includes about 2,550 pieces. "Just the inventory alone took several years," she says.
The exhibit, which features paintings, graphic works and sculpture by such artists as Edvard Munch, Gustav Courbet, John Singer Sargent and Albrecht Durer, runs through Oct. 22.
