Picking up after the hailstorm that hit St. Olaf Aug. 24 has added to the preparations to get the campus ready for school. But everything will be ready for new students who arrive Sept. 2 for Week One orientation, says Michael Kyle, vice president and dean of enrollment at St. Olaf. Classes begin Sept. 7.

"We are busy preparing for the start of your time at St. Olaf, and the effects of this violent storm do not diminish our readiness for your arrival," wrote Kyle recently in an e-mail message to the incoming Class of 2010. "Enjoy these last days of summer with family and friends with the knowledge that those of us on campus are eagerly anticipating your arrival," he added.
