Magnum Chorum to perform "Songs of Scandinavia"

Magnum Chorum, featuring St. Olaf alumnus Bradley Ellingboe '80, will present "Songs of Scandinavia" on Saturday, May 6 at 8 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Minn., and on Sunday, May 7 at 3 p.m. at Church of St. Michael in Stillwater, Minn.
Magnum Chorum, under the direction of David Dickau, performs a cappella choral music in cathedrals and sanctuaries throughout the Midwest. The concerts feature Scandinavian hymns, folksongs and nocturnes by Grieg and Hovland, Sandstrom and Nystedt, and St. Olaf College Choir founder F. Melius Christiansen. Ellingboe, professor of music at the University of New Mexico, will provide commentary throughout the concert.
