Postlethwaite reviews Anne Tyler's newest novel
May 16, 2006
Professor of English Diana Postlethwaite's review of Anne Tyler's novel, Digging to America, appears in a recent issue of the Star Tribune. Postlethwaite praises Tyler's 17th novel for its exploration of "the full spectrum of parenthood," which includes plenty of "wry and witty older-parent/adult-child moments."
Postlethwaite says: "Tyler's latest is an utterly delightful, disarmingly unpretentious and richly wise tale about what it means to be 'American' and what it means to be part of a family."
