St. Olaf Band to perform Celebration weekend concert

The St. Olaf Band will present a Celebration Weekend concert at 2:30 p.m. in Skoglund Center Auditorium. The program features percussionist/pianist Jeffrey Bina '06, as soloist on Tchaikovsky's "Piano Concerto No. 1, Movement III" and Egil Lysebo '81, returning from Norway for his 25-year reunion, guest conducting the Grainger "Irish Tune from County Derry." Other works will include Melillo's "Without Warning," Ewazen's "A Hymn for the Lost and the Living," Susato's "Selections from the Danserye," Menard's "Joe's Last Mix," and Reed's "Carnival" from "La Fiesta Mexicana." The concert is free and open to the public.
