Bill Bennett works St. Olaf into Syttende Mai program

Thanks to a tip from Bob Marotz '75, St. Olaf College was able to send a package of Norwegian-related material to former U.S. Secretary of Education Bill Bennett, host of the nationally syndicated Morning in America show, in time for his May 17 radio program that he devoted to Norway's Constitution Day. The three-hour show (with the first hour devoted to all things Norwegian) begins with a selection from a St. Olaf Choir recording (prompting Bennett to ask "Well... what is that?" in his trademark irreverent style) and also includes snippets of the St. Olaf Band.

(The link to the MP3 audio file includes the entire three-hour program, but you'll hear St. Olaf-related material in the first few minutes).
