Midwest Japanese Film Festival begins at Southgate Cinema

The Midwest Japanese Film Festival, organized by the Japan Foundation, will present four recently released Japanese films at the Southgate Cinema in Northfield at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays during the month of February. These movies are free of charge for students, faculty and the general public. The first film Go directed by Isao Yukisada (2001, 123 minutes) will be shown Feb. 7.

Other films in the series are Nobody Knows directed by Hirokazu Koreieda (2004, 141 minutes), at 7 p.m. on Feb. 14; Bright Future, directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa (2003, 115 minutes) at 7 p.m. on Feb. 21; and Face, directed by Junji Sakamoto (2000, 123 minutes) at 7 p.m. on Feb. 28.
