College announces faculty tenure, promotion decisions

St. Olaf Dean and Provost James May announced today that the college's board of regents has approved tenure and promotion recommendations for several St. Olaf faculty members:

TENURE

  • Christopher Chiappari, sociology/anthropology
  • Steven Hahn, history
  • Martin Hodel, music
  • Kimberly Kandl, biology
  • Paul Roback, mathematics, statistics and computer science
  • Nancy Thompson, art and art history

PROMOTION TO PROFESSOR
  • David Carter, music
  • Karen Wilson, theatre

PROMOTION TO ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
  • Christopher Chiappari, sociology/anthropology
  • Steven Hahn, history
  • Vicki Harper, philosophy
  • Kimberly Kandl, biology
  • Donna McMillan, psychology
  • Paul Roback, mathematics, statistics and computer science
  • Nancy Thompson, art and art history
