Four new St. Olaf music faculty members performed the recital, "New Faculty Showcase," in Urness Recital Hall, Christiansen Hall of Music, on Sept. 15. The recital featured tenors Christopher Aspaas '95 and Mark Calkins, plus pianists Christopher Atzinger and Andrew Hisey.

"St. Olaf is excited to welcome these four new faculty members to the college," said Professor of Music Dan Dressen, Music Department chair. "We're especially glad that this recital -- our first of the year -- will be Northfield's introduction to these talented musicians."

The recital is part of this year's Faculty Artist Series during the Thursday lunchtime slot. The next faculty series performance will be a "Monster Concert" on Oct. 27.
