St. Olaf has announced that Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Gretchen Morgenson '76 will address the Class of 2005 during this year's Commencement ceremony on May 29. Morgenson, who covers Wall Street for The New York Times, received the Pulitzer Prize for beat reporting for her "trenchant and incisive Wall Street coverage" throughout 2001.

"I'm thrilled to have been asked to speak," says Morgenson. "It is truly an honor that I was not expecting." The former Forbes investigative business writer and editor also has received the American University School of Communication Journalism Award for excellence in personal finance reporting and was a member of The New York Times team that won the Gerald Loeb Award for deadline/beat reporting in 1998.
