Weekly 'Community Time' will allow campus to come together

Computer keyboards will remain quiet, formal meetings will cease and classrooms will empty every Thursday this fall from 11:30 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. The occasion is the new Community Time, an opportunity for faculty, students and staff at St. Olaf to come together in unstructured gatherings. A "Reaccreditation Open Forum" will be held at 11:30 a.m. in Buntrock Commons' Viking Theater on Sept. 12. Faculty meetings will occur the first Thursday of each month during this time, and significant events such as Black History Month and National Disability Awareness Month also will be celebrated. The public is welcome to attend. For more information, call the Office of Community Life and Diversity, (507) 646-3334.
