St. Olaf soccer coach Anderson surpasses 200 wins

St. Olaf soccer coach Kurt Anderson reached the 200 win plateau on Saturday, September 7th in the Oles 2-0 win over Lakeland. Anderson, a two-time MIAC Coach of the Year, has compiled a 201-124-21 record in his 20 years of coaching.

A graduate of Augustana College, Anderson has spent the last twelve years as the St. Olaf head coach. Anderson earned his M.S. in physical education from Drake Univesity in Des Moines, Iowa. Anderson holds a national coaching license from the United States Socfer Federation and has earned a national diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). He has served as the NSCAA state representative and on the NCAA tournament selection committee.

Anderson is currently on the SSCAA college ranking committee. He volunteers his time in the spring and summer as a coach and clinician for the Northfield Soccer Association and is the current Soccer Director at the national FCA camp.

Last season, Anderson took over as the women's head coach as well, leading the Oles to a 9-9 campaign. This season, the Ole women are 4-0 outscoring their opponents 20-2, while the St. Olaf men are 2-1. In addition to coaching duties, Anderson teaches in the physical education department at St. Olaf College.
