"I was the only white person sitting in the Montgomery bus station waiting for the Trailways bus to Tuskegee," writes the Rev. W. Thomas Holmes '70 in the Forest Park Review about his experiences as an exchange student at the Tuskegee Institute in 1968. "It was then that it hit me that I would be in the minority for the next four months."
